  • Bruce Museum of Arts and Science   - Greenwich, CT Robert M. Bruce (1822-1908) was a noted textile manufacturer who summered in Greenwich to escape the heat of New York City. In 1908, he bequeathed his home to the town of Greenwich and stipulated that it be used "as a Natural History, Historical and Art Museum, for the use and benefit of the public."
